If you need to clean up an infected PC that is still able to be booted into Windows then try installing Spybot Search and Destroy, Emsisoft Anti-malware, Super anti-Spyware, and Malwarebytes as a starting point to begin the clean up -- These tools are available at our "antivirus tools" page.
Remember to update each ones definitions before beginning your scan and clean up.

If you have a virus that can not be cleaned up do some research on the web if you know it's name after running clean up tools.
Symantec may have a stand alone clean up tool for your specific infection.
